Interview with Amanda:

As one of the UK’s hottest models, life is looking good for Amanda Hendrick. The Airdrie beauty starred in the covetable Topshop Christmas campaign last year, has stalked the runways of Jean Paul Gaultier, Balenciaga and Paul Smith and also waltzed off with the Most Stylish Female gong at the Scottish Style Awards. Here she takes time out of her globetrotting to talk about her clothing choices off the catwalk.
I'd describe my style as…
hippy rock chick. I like to feel edgy and rocky whilst still looking and feeling feminine.
My favourite place to shop in Glasgow is…
Topshop, Urban Outfitters and AllSaints. I’m happy to shop anywhere really.
The person whose style I most admire is…
I love the Olsen twins’ style.
My favourite designer is…
Sonia Rykiel.
When it comes to the opposite sex, I like…
a guy that takes care of himself, without trying too hard.
I’ve got a thing about…
bags, studs and glitter.
My favourite recent find was…
my patchwork House of Holland dress.
My best fashion bargain ever was…
my dress for the Scottish Style Awards. I picked it up in Tokyo when I was modelling for Paul Smith.
The trend I'm definitely not buying into is…
creepers. They’re disgusting.
If money were no object on the fashion front I’d buy…
the studded Burberry mac.
My big fashion no-no is…
people who try too hard to be cool. Fashion should be about self-expression rather than hiding behind something that’s not really you.
My fashion tip is...
find your own style and be comfortable with who you are.
